Attention: NSW Clubs/Associations

Ping Pong Parkinson is a global sports movement, using table tennis as the driver, that is inclusive and supportive of people with a Parkinson Diagnosis.

This email (article) is to introduce you to Helen Halford, Australian coordinator of Ping Pong Parkinson. She is currently seeking NSW clubs/associations who would be interested is hosting a Ping Pong Parkinson chapter.

You can find out more about PPP and the benefits of table tennis for people with PD by means of an excellent ESPN feature, Outside the Lines - Nenad Bach and PingPongParkinson and the website www.pingpongparkinson.org. I also recommend watching the brief highlights from the PPP World Championships in Austria in 2023, which delivers an awesome sense of how much PPP means to people who connect with us: Fourth World Championships Wels, Austria

Around the world, many table tennis clubs host PPP groups at specific training times. USA Table Tennis now includes a division in their national championships for people with PD. Helen is keen to discuss whether you and she can work cooperatively on strategies to attract more people with PD and their families and volunteers to table tennis at both recreational and competitive levels.

Helen’s contact details are:
