2024 NATIONAL UMPIRE COURSE

VENUE - NSW Sports House, 8 Parkview Drive, Sydney Olympic Park

This course is suitable for players, coaches and parents interested in the acquiring a detailed knowledge of the rules and umpiring at State Championships and National Championships level.

From the State Umpire level you may progress to the National Umpire level and then the International level.  This two-day course will provide knowledge of the rules of table tennis, how they are applied, the umpire calls and hand signals and the process that umpires follow when umpiring at major events.

The agenda will cover Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 of the ITTF Handbook over the two days.  We will also look at various videos to highlight points and will run a few practical scenarios to re-enforce different points about practical umpiring.

COURSE PRE-REQUISITES

• Current Table Tennis Australia Member 
• National Umpire Participants must be a minimum of 18 years old and have held a State Umpire qualification for at least 2 years
