2026 Australian Junior Table Tennis Championship Teams/Squad selection – May Date: 03/05/2026

Congratulations on being selected to represent Table Tennis NSW at the Australian Junior Championships from the Saturday 26th September to Saturday 3rd October 2026 inclusive at South Pine Indoor Sports Centre – 620 South Pine Road Brendale QLD, 4500 .

Junior selection criteria all players selected have been placed in teams to provide the best possible results for NSW .

Also note: the RTTC tournament did not have any gender or age events, and some matches were only best of three games, any results here cannot be used and should not be entered onto rating central.

President Team Nominations : Please note these are nominations ONLY. Table Tennis Australia will select teams from all eight states , these teams will only be selected once team entries have closed and there is no guarantee of being placed in a team. Players listed for President’s team nominations were NOT automatically the next ranked player; state development players were selected first in some cases.

Entries for the individual events – you must enter on-line with Table Tennis Australia & pay the TTA invoice. Individual entry form link is TBA

Reminder that all entries for the individual events –OPEN on Friday 19 June 2026 and CLOSE – Friday 14 August 2026 – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Airport and Venue Transport – Brendale is 20 minutes’ drive from Brisbane Airport . This is the players own responsibility.

 

NEW EVENT re-introduction of the JUNIOR – Closing Function

The event will be listed on the Individual entry form – cost $75 per person – please pay went you enter

RE-introduction of the ORDER of Merit – for the event in which you have played teams

The TTA EOI linked form – must also be completed – and have a course complete recorded.

For first time team members this will require proof of residency and to be a registered paid member at “Comp Plus” level.

The TTA eligibility form to upgrade to “Comp Plus” level membership – the upgrade fee from “State” to “Comp Plus” is $312.43 (TTA only amount) there is no NSW amount and there is no refund if you are currently at “Club Comp ” and then upgrade to "Comp Plus" . You will not be able to enter any individual events or have your name entered into the team at National Championships until this fee is confirmed as paid.

Compulsory NSW JUNIOR TEAM/SQUAD TRAINING

All squad members will be required to attend the 4x NSW Junior Squad Training sessions at Sports Halls, Sydney Olympic Park.

1.          Saturday – 1st August 2026: 9am to 12 noon & 1pm to 4pm

2.          Sunday – 9th August 2026: 9am to 12 noon & 1pm to 4pm

3.          Sunday – 16th August 2026: 9am to 12 noon & 1pm to 4pm

4.          Saturday – 22nd August 2026: 9am to 12 noon & 1pm to 4pm

Session Times:

9am to 12 noon: U13 & U11 & U9 (boys and girls)

1pm to 4pm: U15 & U17 (boys and girls)

These squad training sessions are crucial to develop the NSW team culture. The squad (players and team coaches) will have the opportunity to meet and work together to prepare for the Australian Junior Open Championships.

For team unity, please wear the TTNSW squad/training shirt during these squad training sessions.

To maintain your position on the team you MUST adhere to the Code of Conduct and commit to all squad training sessions. Should a squad member not exhibit the proper code of conduct or fail to attend the squad training they may risk being replaced by the next ranked player.

PLAYER COSTS:

Squad Training: $260 – covers all training sessions listed above.

Team Uniform Package: $250.

Uniform Package – All players MUST have the current Team Shirts – shirts MUST be two of either Primary or Secondary design, and at least one of the other i.e. minimum 3x shirts.

All new players MUST purchase the Uniform Package – this consists of 3x shirts and 1x

tracksuit.

Individual items are available for purchase. Tracksuits $140 each and Shirts $60 each.

Please Note: for players selected in a President’s team the uniform package consists of 3x NSW team shirts (1x primary & 2x secondary designs) and 1x tracksuit. Table Tennis Australia will invoice you separately for the President’s Team shirts.

Team Coaching Fee: $300. Payable to TTNSW

Each team will have an appointed team coach for the Teams event at the Australian Junior Championships. Each team member will be required to pay the team coach fee of $300 per player.

Note: Costs associated with travel and accommodation are in addition to the above outlined expenses.

It is the responsibility of all selected players to pay all the team costs of participation to Table Tennis NSW prior to departure for the Championships.
